Dr. Romano was born in New York City in 1949 and lived there until 1980. He attended grade school, high school, under graduate school, medical school and graduate school in New York City. He did three years of internship and residency in NYC as well and moved to St. Louis in 1980 in order to do a two-year fellowship in rheumatology.

In 1982 Dr. Romano moved to his present residence in Wheeling, West Virginia and now practices in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a municipality across the Ohio River from Wheeling, West Virginia. He lives with his wife of 37 years and they have three adult children.

Although Dr. Romano has a full-time private solo medical practice where he spends most of his time evaluating and treating patients, he makes himself available for medical/legal matters, as well as pursuing clinical research. Presently, he is on the consulting staff of East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry and is a member of several professional organizations.

Dr. Romano became licensed to practice medicine in New York in 1978, in Missouri in 1980, and Ohio and West Virginia in 1982. Dr. Romano presently holds active licenses to practice medicine in the states of Ohio and West Virginia.
